But my story wasn’t always so bright.
I came to Australia in 2006 as a refugee from Liberia. I was handed a golden ticket to a better life, and wasted no time in training, gaining qualifications and working in areas I was deeply passionate about.
Now, over 15 years later, I feel a deep sense of gratitude to this place I call home. I’m humbled by the opportunities I have been given. I’m driven to care for others, as this country has cared for me. But most importantly, I’m honoured through my work at Dignify Home Services, to make a positive impact on others, my community and society at large, for the greater good.
Fundamentally, we’re all connected by the common thread of humanity. We all have the right to feel safe, respected, seen and heard, and we all deserve to be treated with kindness, dignity and love.
